- An acronym for The Group of Thirty. This is a Washington-based panel of leading bankers, former central bankers and academics. Is was established to resolve the financial worlds international clearance, payments and risk problems. In 1992, for example, the G-30 is examining derivative products to highlight systemic risks in the markets. G-30 also publishes a range of international economics and finance reports and books.
